Nigerian rapper, CDQ has clarified why he criticised colleague Odumodublvck publicly despite commending him in their private chats.
DAILY POST recalls that CDQ, while featuring in Cool FM Nigeria’s Big Friday Show hosted by reality star, Tacha, had criticised Odumodublvck and Shallipopi over their “poor lyrics.”
Reacting to a clip of the interview making the rounds on X, Odumodublvck shared a screenshot of his conversation with CDQ on Instagram where the latter was praising his “sound.”
The DM CDQ sent him read, “Odumodublvck. Bad boy, I f*ck with ur sound my brother.”
Odumodublvck, while exposing CDQ’s private messages to him, captioned the post, “Ah egbon, no be so o!”
However, reacting via his Instagram story, CDQ explained that being a fan of Odumodublvck’s “sound” doesn’t mean he loves his lyrics.
He wrote, “[I] F*ck wit ur sound doesn’t mean [I] f*ck with ur lyrics bra. I was only trying to encourage so @odumodublvck no gas ursef up ou dey bring my dm com out to do news lol… everyone out here know say CDQ is dat guy dat don’t give a f*ck abt no f*ckin body be u or anything, I’m very expensive n I’ll say it as it is.”
