Akwa United Chairman Paul Bassey has revealed that the club have penciled down three coaches for the vacant managerial position.
Bassey said the Promise Keepers will maintain a high standard towards selecting a suitable coach for the club.
He, however, commended the caretaker coach Umar Abdullahi for turning the fortunes of the club around.
DAILY POST recalls that the former Akwa United technical adviser, Fatai Osho resigned from his position after failing to produce the needed result for the team.
“It’s been difficult getting a coach I must confess to you,” he told Sportreverend.
“The standards are very high. We have shortlisted three coaches and we are still looking at them.
“We have brought in four players to boost the team and help the team actualise their target at the end of the season.”
