Oyun Adeyinka Adebayo, has assumed duty as the new Controller, Correctional Service in Kwara State.

Adebayo took over from Controller Salami Abdulraheem Olubamji, who has been transferred to the Oyo State Command of the service.

The former controller acknowledged the support and cooperation of staff of the command during his tenure and urged them to reciprocate such to his successor.

The new controller, who hails from Ipe in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, is a seasoned professional correctional administrator, who has served in various capacities in several places.

Adebayo served as Squadron Commander, Kwara State Command, Vice Principal Academics Borstal Training Institution Ganmo in Kwara State, and officer in charge of Old Ilorin Custodial Centre Okekura, in Ilorin metropolis.

He was also Zone ” F” Controller of Operations in Ibadan, Oyo State and recently, Controller of Corrections, Cross River State, from where he was redeployed to take over the mantle of leadership as the Controller of Corrections in the State of Harmony.

Addressing members of staff, the new controller promised to consolidate the achievements of his predecessor and solicited the cooperation and support of the entire staff in the actualisation of his mandate to the service.

Adebayo emphasized discipline and encouraged the staff to be more dedicated to the service.
