Rivers United goalkeeper Victor Sochima has expressed disappointment in his side’s performance against Lobi Stars.

The title holders played out a barren draw against Sunshine Stars in their Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs tie on Wednesday night.

Sochima said the team missed out on a chance to move to the summit.

The Super Eagles goalie admitted that Rivers United will need to improve to defend the title.

“We really didn’t play to win against Lobi Stars(yesterday),” he told DAILY POST at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

“It was a disappointing game to be sincere as we missed out on a chance to secure top spot.

“If we truly need to defend this title we need to improve better on converting our goalscoring chances.

“Our next two matches now is important so we have to give it our all.”

Rivers United will battle Bendel Insurance in the matchday 4 fixture on Friday.
