Rivers United defender, Ebube Duru has assured that he will be fit for the Super Eagles 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

The left-back was among the four home-based players included in the 23-man squad for the game by head coach, Jose Peseiro on Friday.

There were fears that Duru could miss the game after limping out of the pitch in Rivers United’s 2-1 victory against Bendel Insurance on Friday.

The former Lobi Stars player however stated that he is in good condition and didn’t sustain any injury.

“It was just a minor knock but I’m in perfect condition,” Duru told DAILY POST.

“I will join the national team camp on Monday.”

The 23-year-old has made one appearance for the Super Eagles.
